Continuous hinges have been main line products
at Cooke Brothers for over a century. The Phoenix was adopted as our trade
mark in the early years of the business at a time when much of the firm`s
output was made from brass and many products were cast in molten metal from
open furnaces. The Phoenix, the bird of Arabian mythology famous for continuously
re-creating itself in fire, was considered an appropriate emblem for the
foundry process. |

The logo has undergone many changes over the
years, so too has the company. Rising to meet new challenges, to take advantage
of new technology and new production methods. |

Although brass casting no longer features among
the company`s activities, molten metal having given way to more advanced
manufacturing processes, the Phoenix has remained our symbol, a continuous
reaffirmation of our aim of providing a first class service to all our customers
year after year. Now in the 21st century, with new products and new manufacturing
processes constantly being developed, Cooke Brothers is proving its ability
to meet these challenges and provide the solutions. Continuous commitment
to customers` requirements has helped to establish the company and the Phoenix
brand as a world class leader in hinge engineering. |
